![]() The battles (turn based) remind me of HOMM1 due to small number of units and small size terrain. It's a great game, indeed like HOMM saga, but really different gameplay. There's a demo on their site so you don't have to risk much to find out for your self though. Very fun trying out new combos, new units and spells and very interesting with the static unit population. Mage abilities, spells and related items all seem to work together very well. Currently playing as a mage class, about halfway through the game (lvl 15ish), normal difficulty. Game economy seems a bit off, at least on Normal diff. Leveling my hero was addictive to the point of insanity and I could scarcely stop playing long enough for basic hygeine. Combat is clearly based on the aforementioned IPs but boasts and impressive list of units with unique and tactically significant abilities and traits. The game is beautiful, even with aliasing turned off on my aging rig, both visually and the stories it weaves with a fantastic sense of humor. This is what Disciples 3 and HOMM5 should have aspired to. I just finished one of the best games I've ever played. Combat is clearly based on the aforementioned IPs but boasts and Wow, simply incredible.
